Here is the finished project for reference. If you don’t want to use the strapping system we have here you can also punch holes along the sides and lace them up. If you do make sure to get boot lace and not the crap that comes on 100 ft spools.

As you can see from this pic, you can easily modify the profile of the leather to make it more menacing (spikes are alwse good for the oogy boogy factor) or tool a large surface as well.
